Sinks and faucets can come in many different styles. Its costs can vary as there are models that cost more than $200 for restaurant kitchens, and $50 for simple ones. You can also buy ones that have one or two handles, pull out sprayers, that are wall mounted or counter top, and ones that have different features. You can even buy faucets with bronze or nickel finishes for added visual appeal.

The same thing also goes for sinks. You can buy ones that only have a single-bowl which can cost $100 more or less, to a double bowl, apron front, copper or cast iron sink that can cost almost $1000. There are also different types of sinks, this includes under mount sinks, sinks that are mounted through countertops, or drop-in sinks. Sinks should also match the overall kitchen design, this includes the cabinets and other vital features.

The installation cost for both kitchen fixtures can be around $75-$200. The price may go up if access is limited, installation becomes complicated, or if current parts installed in the kitchen need fixing or replacement.

If a faucet will continue to drip after being shut off, the problem may lie with the rubber gasket or a worn-out washer. This can be fixed on your own especially if your faucet has two handles for hot and cold water. If your faucet has a single handle for hot and cold control, then you might want to ask for help from a professional.

If you do want to tackle on the repairs on your own, you will have to keep an eye on all the small parts, making sure you remember how to put them back and making sure that they do not fall down the sink. Faucets can be designed in many different ways, so you might want to do the disassembly carefully until you know what needs to be replaced. If the faucet needs repairs, you might want to think about doing it on your own, hiring a plumber, and getting your faucet upgraded by opting for a new design.

If you are experiencing water pressure problems, you need to know that it can be easily fixed. But if the pressure is only problematic in the kitchen, you will have to consider the following:

Pipe leaks – Try to check if there are leaks under the kitchen or in the main water line.

Worn-out parts – Check the faucet if it has broken valves, or if any of its internal parts have worn-out, giving you low water pressure when used.

Clogged screen – aerator screens are typically used to improve water flow. But if they get clogged, it can lead to a reduction in water pressure. You can unscrew it from the end-point of the faucet, rinse the screen, and reinstall it back. Just make sure to use a cloth to avoid scratching
